History

Beginning in 1977, the consistent prosperity of Bolt & Nut, Inc. is the result of the life work, leadership and prayers of Bob and Linda Cornett. The company began primarily as a fastener maintenance distributor to the phosphate mining industry in central Florida, through the 1980's.

In 1991 the decision was made to expand into manufacturing capability through the acquisition of thread manufacturing and bending equipment. The process of transforming Bolt & Nut, Inc. Into a diversified growth of products and services began. In addition to being a strong distributor of maintenance oriented fastener products, Bolt & Nut, Inc. Now offered Specialty construction and fabrication products including anchorbolts, U-bolts, eyebolts, threaded studs, tie-rods and plate washers manufactured to engineered specifications.

While maintaining its existing client base, the sales efforts now also focused on new construction projects, steel fabricators, concrete, mechanical and electrical contractors with greater emphasis. The first major impact project for the company came in 1994 with the manufacture and supply of sub-structure anchor bolts for a power plant in central Florida. With the success of that project, the company has since manufactured & supplied fastener Products to the U.S. Census bureau building project in Washington. D.C., Central command expansion at Macdill AFB, Tampa, a seawall project in Murmansk, Russia, two fertilizer plants in China, a power plant project in Turkey, other power plant projects through-out Florida and Puerto Rico, theme parks in Florida and the Caribbean, sports stadiums in Tampa Bay, Numerous water treatment plant projects and saltwater desalination Plants in Florida. the Caribbean islands and even one in Australia.

In October of 2005, the entire operation was moved into a larger facility consisting of 45,000 square feet of warehouse and manufacturing and 5,000 square feet of office space. Today, with over 30 employees, Bolt & Nut, Inc. Has become a respected manufacturer and distributor of quality construction and maintenance fastener products serving clients throughout the Southeast. Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.
