Hurri-Bolt Assembly

Hurri-Bolt System Components

SBCCI REPORT #9910

Hurri-Bolt Rods (HBR): 1/2"-13 tpi x 6'-0" double ended rods made of C1008 material. The 6' rod length eliminates any difficulty encountered while inserting rods into walls with midblocking. The smooth shaft prevents damage to cable, telephone, and electrical wire pulled through walls. The rods connect to the anchor bolt and ends at the Top Plate Threaded Rod.

Hurri-Bolt Top Plate Rods (HBT): 1/2"-13 tpi x 6'-0" all thread rod made of C1008 material. This top most piece is inserted through the top plate. The rod is cut to length in the field allowing a minimum of 2 " to stick out above the top plate for the square washer and nut.

Hurri-Bolt Coupling Nut (HBC): A 1/2"-13tpi x 1-3/4" coupling nut manufactured with a stop in the center allows for perfect engagement when connecting rods. The coupling nut can be visually inspected by verifying 3/10th's of thread above and below.

Hurri-Bolt Square Plate Sill Washers (HBSS): An 1/8" x 2" x 2" square plate washer with a 9/16" hole in the center used to anchor the sill plate to the anchor bolt or stud.

Hurri-Bolt Hex Nut (HBN): An A563 finished hex nut. Used to anchor the sill plate washer and the top plate washer. The final step to complete installation is to tighten the top nut above the top plate.

Hurri-Bolt Top Plate Square Washer (HBST): A 3/16" x 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" square washer with a 9/16 elongated hole in the center used to anchor the top plate.

Hurri-Bolt Cast In Place Anchor (HBA): A 1/2"- 13 tpi x 12" x 3" anchor bolt bent at a 60° angle for ultimate pullout strength. Made of ASTM 193 Grade B7 Heat Treated Steel to satisfy uplift and *most shear loads. Eliminates most sill plate anchors.

Hurri-Wedge Anchor (HW): Manufactured by Powers Fasteners exclusively for the Hurri-Bolt System. Eliminates the need for epoxy. Simply drill a hole in the concrete 1 3/4" min from the edge with a Hurri-Wedge
Standard Ansi Bit. Drive the anchor using our positive-stop coupling nut with an impact wrench. The Hurri-Wedge can be loaded immediately.

Standard ANSI Bits: Hurri-Wedge Anchors now use standard ANSI Masonry bits for your convenience.
